Jim Geach and Lawrie Prideaux
Jim
and Lawrie who are long standing
pals started separate travel
businesses at approximately
the same time and very quickly
began to share their workloads.
It soon became apparent that
they worked well together
and Travel 4000 was
born.
Jim
is a Cornishman who worked
at Compair Maxam Factory for
over 24 years. This was previously
the Climax Factory which developed
the original rock drill. He
sings with their famous Male
Voice Choir and possesses
an impish sense of humour.
He has sung with the choir
throughout this country and
has plans to travel to the
USA with them in 2001. He
was a county councillor for
14 years and has been a governor
of several schools in the
area. Jim is a keen sportsman
and has played cricket, football
and rugby for a variety of
teams in the county.
Lawrie
is a cheerful, middle-aged
Cornishman, born in Camborne,
who is a qualified professional
tour guide and holds professional
certificate in national and
international road passenger
transport operations.
He
is a former teacher and international
rugby referee who has refereed
in twenty different countries
throughout the world, refereeing
every major national XV. During
his travels he has developed
a great interest in meeting
people and enjoys the company
of all who are prepared to
share their interests and
experiences with him.
Jim
and Lawrie run a comprehensive travel service and look
