Jim Geach and Lawrie Prideaux

Jim and Lawrie who are long standing pals started separate travel businesses at approximately the same time and very quickly began to share their workloads. It soon became apparent that they worked well together and Travel 4000 was born.

Jim is a Cornishman who worked at Compair Maxam Factory for over 24 years. This was previously the Climax Factory which developed the original rock drill. He sings with their famous Male Voice Choir and possesses an impish sense of humour. He has sung with the choir throughout this country and has plans to travel to the USA with them in 2001. He was a county councillor for 14 years and has been a governor of several schools in the area. Jim is a keen sportsman and has played cricket, football and rugby for a variety of teams in the county.

Lawrie is a cheerful, middle-aged Cornishman, born in Camborne, who is a qualified professional tour guide and holds professional certificate in national and international road passenger transport operations.

He is a former teacher and international rugby referee who has refereed in twenty different countries throughout the world, refereeing every major national XV. During his travels he has developed a great interest in meeting people and enjoys the company of all who are prepared to share their interests and experiences with him.

Jim and Lawrie run a comprehensive travel service and look forward to your company on any journey of your choice, long or short.
